How I cut a stream into shorts

Every short I make starts as a stream. I play Dota 2, record the broadcast, then go back through the recording looking for moments worth showing to people who missed it.

What I look for

The moments that work best happen in a couple of seconds: an unexpected reaction, a funny chat comment, a great or a terrible fight. If a moment needs a long explanation, it does not become a short.

What happens next

  • I reframe it vertically for TikTok and YouTube;

  • I add subtitles so it works without sound;

  • I zoom in where a reaction or a detail matters;

  • I clean up and level the sound.

A good short is one people watch to the end. That is what I check first.

I can do the same with your stream: send me the recording, get vertical shorts back. I am still new at this, so I take few orders and treat each like my own.
